I need a bit some expert assistance on the crane truck my son built last year, the motorized crane doesn't seem to be working properly.

Anyone in BrickMal familiar with the Crane Truck? I couldn't trace where the problem is and taking the truck apart is the last thing I want to do.

Any good advice or any experts who could help?

I also have this set too.
try to check the joint of the gear first, too tight will cause the gear rotate not smoothly.
the bevel gear also easy slip when the overload happen.

hope can help you solve the problem.

will check on that but somehow, the crane doesn't move right, I've seen panjang's crane in motion and maybe there is some loose joints.

The crane don't fold nicely in place at all.

Since your crane does not fold in nicely, then I suspect it could be this part below

    Quote
See those two "Yellow Technic Engine Crankshaft" that attach to the extender arm? If you rotate it 180 deg, it's like not even 1/8 of an inch difference, but it's enough to stop the top arm from folding all the way closed.

I too had the problem but after adjusting that part then can closed properly.
