Guys.. if you do visit bangsar village II, please x 100000000000000 visit Borders!

They have all kinda LEGO books there (brickmaster star wars, pirates, castle, Lego - a love story, LEGO Star wars dictionary...).

In short, it has the most complete collection of LEGO books from so many bookstores I visited Smiley

ARRGHHH!!!!   Shocked I was there today and didn't bother to go up to Borders thinking there weren't anything in Borders!!! **** knocks head on table ****

Anyway bought some Christmas Lego stuff on sale such as the 852742 holiday magnet with Santa and sleigh, the 40009 Christmas polybag set and 40010 Christmas polybag set. Finally able to obtain a Santa minifigure via the magnet set (it is not glued at all!). The other 2 polybag sets are worth it as well since it only cost RM 29.90 for 71 to 85 parts.

Also, there is heavy advertising for this Lego tree in BVII. On the way to BVII there is even an advertisement on the radio!!!

The Bangsar Village II management is putting a lot of effort in for this event to be a success Smiley

In fact, at least 3 Chinese papers published about this event. Not sure about English or BM papers though.

Guess what? My mini clone trooper collection was in the papers. lol..

It was on a spur on the moment that i bought this set:

10210 imperial flagship, here's the link to view the pix

    http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=10210-1

Got the flag ship from Bangsar Village II yesterday. was totally dazed by the 40 % discount that i just spent like crazy. I have never ever spent rm 1,300 on anything but i went crazy yesterday!!!!

After the initial euphoria has died down, then i realised that i better stick to my usual technics.

I thought to then let this set go at the same price i got it from BVII yesterday:

RM 699.00  (usual price rm 1,099.00)
I have not opened it yet. It's in MISB condition.
I reckon if i managed to let go this set, i will be able to get the technic set i wanted then in a more rational shopping environment. I was totally crazy yesterday. That's what a LEGO sale can do to a person.

Please email me at karenleehs@yahoo.com if interested...

This forum is the first i posted re the flagship coz i got the info on BVII sale from here. All i can say is there are many young lego enthusiasts in Malaysia unfortunately they are in pockets here and there...... Great to know that we have this forum, lowyat, etc to help us get connected......

Hope to be able to come here more often ........

P/S... Later i will post this offer at ebay.my or at lowyat.net ( probably in another week or so) so anyone interested please email me soonest....

699.90 is a bargain price. Worth EVERY PENNY!

It was so easy to decide to buy this and now actually, it was a very difficult decision to let it go especially after watching this clip about the flagship on youtube :
    Lego 10210 Imperial Flagship playability

    My heart totally melted!!!!

Anyway, because earlier i have made up my mind to get technic 66318 model for my children and also some rcx motors and cables from overseas, it's either i hold on to the flagship or to let it go and get the technic set and motors.

I reckon i will have more use for the technic set and motor and let others have the sactisfaction of setting and playing with the flagship. Which is why i am letting it go at the same discounted price i have bought. A real bargain, true.

BVII sale has got some pretty good space police and power miner set going at fantastic discounts.

I suggest you keep this set and you made the right decision to get it.

I have 2 actually. Thinking of getting another 2! Cheesy

A word of caution while building this set.... build it on a table or floor and not and a soft surface like a mattress, carpet or holding it on one hand.

The initial setup of the ship hull is pretty flimsy and fall apart easily one soft surface. Once you are halfway thru, it is pretty solid.

I'll be bringing one unit over to BV2 for the collector's exhibit coming 3rd Dec 2010 Cheesy

That was really encouraging!!!! One of my mummies friend said i am too impulsive and another said i am crazy!!! But i just can't describe to them the kind of feeling one gets whenever one sees lego (especially technic legos for me).

I spent a total of rm 1300 last night at BVII on 10210, 5970, 8190, 5973 and 5971!!!! I went home feeling so happy and slept like a pig. This morning, woke up feeling very painful in the heart (what a bomb i have spent) when reality strikes!!! It was really a very funny experience.

OK, money can always be earned, great offer like this can hardly be found... perhaps i should hold on to the set for a while first and then decide later....... perhaps i was trying to get some encouragement or assurance that what i did was right......

When it comes to passion, must listen to the heart, not the head...... hahaha....

my hubby doesn't share the same lego interest but my children love lego... passion planted by mummy..... if my hubby knows that i spent that much on lego, he will skin me alive......

In total, we have lots and lots of lego, luckily mummy is an organised person, so the lego are well sorted out. We have nxt 1.0, some technic sets, some imitation city sets from china (which we don't mix them together).  I will be in Malacca on 3rd otherwise will be able to head to BVII for the exhibition.....
