    Theme: Power Miners
    Name: Magma Mech
    S/N: #8189
    Year: 2010
    Pieces: 183
    Minifig: 2
    Price: RM129.90, SGD40.90, USD19.99, GBP15.99

    Box
The front are the box art where it shows the mech trying to grab the magma monster and also the cast. The side shows us the name of the magma monster and the actual scale of it. As for the back, it shows us the functions of the mech.

    Content
What we have for the content are three pack of bricks, a tube, a sticker sheet and an instruction booklet.

Here are some new pieces, which is no longer new now, but is new during the launch of the sets.

    Accessories
We get a trans-orange crystal only from this set. No dynamite. While on the right are the armor which are alike with the Agents one, just without printing and metallic in color which is pretty cool.

    Minifigs
We got Firax the orange magma monster and a miner. Just like the old monster, Firax can open the mouth widely and eat the crystal.

The miner, got both side of his torso printed (but was block by the armor) and leg printed too. He also have double expression.

    Magma Mech
The Magma Mech are a little limited with the articulation. But anyway, below are the pictures taken from different angle.

Now to the mech leg, the articulation is lacking as compare to Exo-Force where the knee can bend.

As for the claw, it's pretty flimsy. Once you adjust the arm, the loose claw will automatically extend itself, more like fall off as there is nothing to hold it

And for the right arm, it is some sort of water pump, mostly use to freeze the naughty magma monster. The driller piece can twist.

And here is the water tank attach at the back of the mech.

The cockpit is fun, but the handle are a little difficult to be attach to the minifig. I bought this set for the cockpit as I'm eager to know removable bar function.

    Extra pieces
This set provide us with a lot of extra pieces too since there are a number of small parts needed in this set.

    Completed model
This set is not so nice, but do have some interesting pieces.

    Playability: 8/10 Extend-able claw.
Design : 8/10 Short arms mech.
Price : 6/10 Is expensive but in affordable range.
Overall: 7/10 Nice minifigs, better function, limited articulation.

Real cool minifigs we got here.

The way the cockpit open is very much useful, if you plan to do any troop carrier transport, you can use it on every seat of the troop.
