We are thinking of having a LEGO City display activity whereby each member would build a structure and contribute to that display in one of the shopping malls here.

    1) Parts would be handled/ordered by the local distributor. No, you don't get to keep the parts after it is over Tongue.
    2) Each participant would build a module about the size of a base plate (green base plate).
    3) The structures have to be CITY Theme related.
    4) Application to participate in the event would be vetted by admin (me), and admin's decision is final.

I'll check on the deadline to get more details, for the time being, participants could start thinking of building the CITY theme of their choice!

How big is the size of a green baseplate? Do you  mean 32x16, 32x32 or 64x64 stud?

I have to wish you guys ALL THE BEST in the LEGO City Display 2011...

Sorry to say that most of my Lego activities has to put on hold until further notice...
I have a half done MOC now and I don't think I'd be able to complete it...
I have a MISB 8070 Supercar which I also don't think that I have the time to assemble it...

I'll be stationed overseas at Shanghai, PRC. Returning every fortnight.
I'll be holding two posts for the time being.
One each in China and Malaysia.

My job scope has just doubled except the pay Grin
I'll still visit this forum nevertheless.

So boss, any update on this? Looks like everyone is too busy until no time for Lego Sad

Anyway, I made some LDD models based on shophouses at where I work. It is on either 32x16 or 32x32. Only the facade is done for now. Trying to use as many common parts as possible (well, I got no idea what parts is available, unless I run a model shop). Hopefully got enough parts to build it in real life.

    Digi Corner shoplot

The interior with all the handphones on display, payment counter and registration table.

My other LDD models front facade at completed but with no interior and the back is just a bare white wall.
