The excavator seems to have only 4 M motors to power all 6 functions.
    I would guess the following.

    Function A:
Arm, boom and bucket (3 M motors)

    Function B:
Caterpillar tracks & cab rotation (same 3 M motors as function A)

1 M Motor for switching the gearbox between Function A and Function B

    Total: 4 M motors

The red joystick on the IR remote would be controlling the gearbox switching (I guess)

    Jackson...
I began to have interest in the 8051 superbike too. It seems small, but there are many useful parts such as:
the chain, sprocket, suspension springs, and lots of panels.
It worth to give a second thought.
Tuan, reserve some order for this model too...hehe

    hi Bobby,
You like riding a bike ya?

The 8043 have a huge bucket, maybe the b-model are  motorized front end loader.

If it's the front end loader, it must have wheels other than caterpillar tracks right?
