Theme: Star Wars
Set No: #8092 (Luke's Landspeeder)
Pcs: 163
Minifigs: 5
Year: 1st Q 2010
Price: RM170

This set are excellent set for those who collect minifigs instead of ship (like me)! 5 minifigs + 1 sentry droid in 1 set, its like a bargain set.

The back of the box are quite simple too.....

There are 3 bags (1 big & 2 small) & a small instruction booklet.

The cast...from left anakin skywalker, ben kenobi, sand trooper, r2-d2(new design, grey color), c3-po + sentry droid

Special mention sand trooper with cape & battle gear...

1/2 hours later...........TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..........Luke's Landspeeder
Front view

Top view

I quite like the ship, but when everyone is in the ship.....did you notice r2 juz hanging on the ship with 1 leg?

And the cockpit are quite small too....where to put my light saber ler?

To my surprise, the back part can pull out......

But still no room for r2......he need to walk lor, what to do........he walk faster than c3-po

Finally, it's a worthy set for me. 6 minifigs in 1 set for RM170 , can't find in other set. So...what do you think?

Pros:
1. 5 minifigs + 1 sentry droid
2. New design for anakin, ben, c3 & r2
3. Sand trooper
4. 2 light saber
5. Very details set
6. Fun & easy to build
7. No stickers

Cons:
1. No room for r2-d2
2. Don't know where to put light saber
3. Should put another sand trooper instead of sentry droid

Overall:4.8/5

I am not sure where you got that pricing, because it definately does not jive with the pricing provided by the sole local distributor.

If there is something wrong with this set, it is that Luke already have a lightsaber at this point!

But oh well, the lightsaber is good for playability of the set (and maybe an extra saber for those army builders). Also funny is that the stormie got 2 sabers on his backpack.

He first learn about the saber in the falcon after the falcon left Mos Eisley. Before that he never seen the saber before.

Hmm... I think he did. Aftrt Ben saved Luke from the tusken warriors, he shown Luke the light sabre, which he claims, belongs to his (Luke's) father.

Anyway, the set would be odd without a light sabre. Luke does not know karate.. Tongue

when Luke in Mos Eisley, he already got light saber from Old Ben, but don't know how to use it, still a farm boy that time. he learn in falcon after he met han & chewie. but he's not jedi yet. so...it's ok he equip with light saber, better than gun. he only used gun after in death star. or how bout he equip with a spade? he's a far boy right, remember??....
