This is my biggest set up to date.  Cheesy

    Details:
    Price: RM1399.90
    Pieces: 1758 (around 80sen/piece)
    Minifigs: 8
    Year released: 2009

    Box art:
The box is taller than #7676 Republic Attack Gunship box but is shorter. Is a pretty heavy set.

    Front:
Is a nice box art we have here, I like the background very much.

    Side:
We got 8 minifigs here with their actual scale.

    Back:
Is all about the functions of the set.

    Content:
There are too much thing in one box, so I break them into a few pictures. Here's the instruction books and others:

10 packs of pack 1, the bricks for AT-OT.

12 packs of pack 2, the bricks for Republic Dropship.

    Instruction books:
There are three instruction book included. They are big and of course, they are heavy too.
Book 1 is all about AT-OT, basic knowledge while building, numbered pack for different vehicle, advertisement and poster.
Book 2 is all about the dropship.
Book 3 is the continued part from book 2, include brick checklist and functions of both the vehicle.

    Sticker sheet:
    Here's the sticker sheet.

    Weapons:
Four short blasters and two long balsters are included.

    Minifigs:
Is all about the Clone Pilots and Clone Troopers. Luckily we got two Clone Pilots from this set. Is more accurate when both vehicle is piloted by Clone Pilot. But still the amount of minifigs is insufficient.

    AT-OT:
Here's the AT-OT which seems not so bad to me.  Cheesy I just so like the design.
    Random:

    Front:

    Top:

    Side:

    Rear:

An up-close with the seat. Tongue
Nine seat at the back and seven seat in front.

The front seat is a little problematic especially the side, the hand of the clone need to put as low as possible or else when you fold the thing the hand will be there to stop it. Naughty clones. . . bad design I mean.

And here's the beam, that enable the dropship to carry it.

What I like about the beam is that there is something to support it from falling. That support will automatically fall off when you attached it to the dropship.

While here's the walker legs. It is loose, not supported by any rubber band but is not an issue to me since I let my AT-TE leg loose all the time.

The front cannon is movable, but limited to up and down only. While the back one is more flexible, but that round piece is getting tighter and the cannon will fall off when we try to move it.

While here's the rear platform for the troop to get down. But is just too steep.

    Here's the cockpit part:
First we have to fold the roof (I guess).

    Then we fold the cockpit.

And here is what connecting the cockpit with the body.

Here's how the cockpit is open.
It's quite irritating when you want to open it up as you need to for the roof, open the front windscreen and later the side. So there are still step to be followed. I just want to make my pictures looks nice, so I put them back after I open the side windscreen.

We can see that, the surface of the cockpit is smooth surface, so you will expect the pilot to fall off easily.

    Extra parts:
Here's some left over from pack 1.

    Republic Dropship:
The ship is big. The wingspan is so wide and it is long too.

    Random:

    Front:

    Top:

    Side:

    Rear:

The cockpit here is a little shaky compare to #7676 Republic Attack Gunship, which the cockpit is tight and fit right into the body.
As usual the windscreen open but half of the seat surface are smooth surface.

Just like #7676 Republic Attack Gunship, there is a front compartment to store the missiles platform.

Here's the missiles platform stuff. Nothing much to explain since we all know is just for flick-fire.

And here's some door at the back of the front compartment. Guess it is design so to fit that #7675 AT-TE Walker top mounted cannon.

And the top compartment is actually nothing but to hide the long beam that connects the cockpit to the body.

Here's the handle for us to carry to large and heavy vehicle and is foldable.

While here's a back compartment for no reason again.

While here's the push-fire missiles mechanism that launches all four missiles together under the wing. Pretty cool, guess we can install one under our  Republic Attack Gunship (#7676).

And here's the hardest part of assembling this dropship.
The yellow button here is for you to release the AT-OT you carry at one press.

Here we can see that this technic pin is to help you with your process of combining the item whereby the beam just need to push it up and they are connected. Rubber band will come in handy to keep the pin in the position.

Rubber band will come in handy to keep the holder in shape.

And here's the way the pack the rubber band. Two of this were given one contains one while the other contains two.

    Extra parts:
Here's the leftover for pack 2.

This is how they look like when both of them combined.
    Random:

    Front:

    Top:

    Side:

    Rear:

And here's some complicated stuff to be dealt with. By the way, this thing is for carry purpose and nod not carry and display purpose as it will damage the long technic bar if you were to display them, the release button bar.

And quick peek, to attached AT-TE Walker (#7675):
    Here's the cool AT-TE.

Before you try to attach to the dropship, remember to change the pin on the beam to the second hole.

Here's some view of the top mounted cannon being put inside the front compartment.

*NOTE: This is only for carrying AT-TE not display with AT-TE as it will damage the top mounted cannon.

    Extra pieces:
Here's all the extra parts, which I think is too few for a big set like this.

    Completion:

This set is a must have for Clone Wars lover. But I replace Clone Wars with Episode II stuff since I didn't manage to get any Episode II stuff. This is a cool set, suitable for building war scene also is a useful vehicle to carry your walkers around.

    Functions:
    -movable legs of AT-OT
-adjustable rear and front AT-OT cannon
    -fold-able platform of AT-OT
    -fold-able roof of AT-OT
    -open-able AT-OT cockpit windscreen
-attachable and detachable AT-OT to/from Republic Dropship
-flick-fire mechanism and push-fire mechanism of Republic Dropship
    -open-able Republic Dropship cockpit windscreen
    -fold-able handle of Republic Dropship
-open-able side and back door of front compartment of Republic Dropship
-open-able top compartment and back compartment
    -press to release AT-OT functions

    Pros:
    -nice design
    -good build experience
    -many functions
    -two pilots minifig

    Cons:
    -sticker sheet
    -cosy
-no instruction on how to attach AT-TE
    -few pieces of extra parts

    Final verdict:
Playability:10/10 As you can see, many functions.
Design : 10/10 Just love it, looks cool to me for both vehicle.
Price : 8/10 The price ratio seems ok to me, since still less than RM1 per piece.
Overall: 9/10 A great set that includes a lot of playability and minifigs.

Fantastic review! Till now I never knew how to the Dropship attach the AT-OT to its belly. All the while I thought you connect with the suction cups thing to the side of the AT-OT.

The sheer size and number of pieces makes it another epic set from Lego  Wink

Did you stick any of the stickers?

Those suction cup at the side can't attach to it. So is very loose and shaky.

Nope, not yet, didn't plan to.  Smiley

Lion-kun fainted. RM 1499 = Alot of Lego sets.

Lion-kun thinks there's a nice mini team of troopers. Lion-kun doesn't have any Star Wars sets but this one looks mighty cool except that the AT-OT's inside looks like a walking restaurant....=p. Lion-kun thinks the green chairs = not so sci-fi =D

Bobby-san, do you not use the stickers? To Maybe to break it into pieces and build into other things? MOCS?

Is RM1400.  Wink But counting the piece ratio is still acceptable.

Well, AT-OT is design that way to carry troops around.  Smiley

You got the point! Haha. But after using stickers, you have to choose carefully the pieces before you assemble it again, just in case you break it into pieces again.

Hehehe.. Lion-kun agrees.... Even so, Lion-kun did use the stickers for some Exo-foce sets and City Sets. Seems like these City sets were soo good already to begin with (Lion-kun would mod them alittle but not break it apart). Example: Cement mixer, Rescue Helicopter, Golden City.

Ah, Lion-kun better not get way out of topic here. Again, great pics and review! =D

Starting small with a trooper battle pack maybe... My sets are so far apart in scheme (colour scheme and theme), my planned MOCs may end up looking like clowns.. haha

Battle pack is expensive. Start with #7748 or #7749
