    Theme: Atlantis
    Name: Atlantis Exploration HQ
    S/N: #8077
    Year: 2010
    Pieces: 473
    Minifig: 3
    Price: RM329.90

    Box
Pardon me for my damaged box. The front of the box shows the box art of the set while the top are the Atlantis key for us to determine the size of the set. The back of the box shows the playability and the transformation of the submarine.

    Content
Inside the box are four bags of bricks which are numbered from 1 to 4, two instruction book and a sticker sheet that are used to add details to your submarine.

    Accessories
We get two pairs of flipper, a piece of Atlantis key and a trident.

    Minifigs
This set include three very common minifigs which is the divers and another Manta Warrior, I wonder how many set has these divers and Manta Warrior.

Since the minifigs are all standardize, the divers have two expression printed on their head so that you can change their expression over the time.

    Scooter
I think is just another small vehicle to reach the pieces to charge higher or just to add a little value to this playset.

    Submarine
Well the command submarine really is different from what we see in the cartoon which is the Neptune Carrier. Anyway, below are some shots of the submarine.

The submarine have dual propeller at the back and another pair in front. The propeller do spin but is not adjustable or very limited movement and so have become one weakness.

This submarine have flick-fire torpedoes on both side and you can adjust to the direction to be fired, which is 360 degree rotatable.

    Atlantis Exploration HQ
The same submarine can open up and make itself into a headquarters, but it has it own weakness in the interior as well.

The front big windscreen can be open and there is some bar that block it. So you need to open both of them in order to sit your driver.
The weakness here is the seat, whereby the diver have to take off their life support in order to be able to sit on the seat that are ready for them. But, there is a hole under the submarine and once it become the headquarter, it get worse. Therefore, they will drown themselves.

Now to the interior which is not bad at all.

It comes with rotatable seat too.

The station that supports the submarine have one nice tower that allow them to park their scooter there. It was a fine landing pad.

The roof of the submarine can be open up to gives some light while to either spot any sea intruders or to light up the mining ground of theirs. Too bad, the four lights cannot light up.

The hook that comes with the station are rotatable and adjustable, but I personally thinks that the movement are quite limited as well

    Extra pieces
We do get a lot of extras from this set, even spears are included and I though I'm lucky to have more extra part, but I'm wrong.

    Completed model
I think this ship can be further improve by the designer by adding some place for the divers to place their gas tank in the submarine and have a brick-built seat instead of the current one.

Playability: 6/10 Not liking much of the playability
Building experience: 5/10 Is quite fun building this submarine.
Parts: 8/10 The round windscreen really helps to add more parts to your inventory.
Value for money: 6/10 Too expensive over here for a set like this.
Overall: 6/10 Common minifig, ugly submarine, nice HQ with landing platform.

As long as the price is insanely cheap, I don't mind the condition of the box.  Smiley
